Anthony Armstrong-Jones – Lord Snowdon
In 1962, Anthony Armstrong-Jones sat on a toilet and took this intimate portrait of his wife Princess Margaret (32) happily bathing in her tub at Kensington Palace with a tiara on, as they prepared for a formal evening out. Wearing Potimore’ tiara which she wore for their wedding two years earlier.
The now famous ‘Dip in Diamonds’ was seen by the public for the first time in 2006 at an exhibition of Lord Snowdon’s work.
