In August of 1972 after encountering a striking poster of Bowie, Masayoshi Sukita-san met with Bowie for what would be the first of many shoots over the next 40 years. The most iconic series of images Watch That Man was shot less than a year later in February 1973
in what would be regarded as one of the most iconic series of Bowie in History.
The collection of images depict Bowie transformed into a space Samurai, Adapting the Hakama style of baggy, formless trouser worn by Japanese Samurai.
